Marcia Jackson Obituary

Marcia Jackson, 88, of Portsmouth, NH, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on December 26, 2024. She was born October 8, 1936, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Joseph "Marc" Leblanc and Ruth Leblanc (King).

She lived in Fitchburg, moved to Leominster, and then to Portsmouth NH. She graduated from St. Bernard's High School in 1954. She met her husband at Whalom Roller Skating Rink and was a loving wife and mother for 68 years.

During her high school years, she worked at Woolworth's. Marcia eventually went on to Nursing School and graduated as an LPN. She went on to work at Leominster Hospital for many years. Thereafter she worked at a few clinics in the Hampton/Portsmouth area, which also included Wentworth Douglass Hospital.

Marcia was always a very compassionate person who always put others first.

Some things that brought her joy were Scrabble, crossword puzzles, tending to her plants and flowers, sewing, and loved to read. She was always at the library getting new books to read. She was a big Red Sox fan, every game asking, "who's pitching". She loved her coffee, and her meatballs were the best.

Marcia was predeceased by her husband Aubrey. She also leaves behind her children Steven, Laura, Mark, Barry and his wife Deb, daughter in law Trish, grandchildren Meghan, Nicole, Maggie, Gordon, stepdaughter Britni Brosker and her husband Brandon, and a special part of our family Davian. She was predeceased by her son Brad, and her grandson Stephen as well.

The family wants to extend their heartfelt thanks to Beacon Hospice, making her feel at ease and comfortable during the trying times with their compassion and care.

Also, the family would like to thank her caregiver (and daughter) who made everything possible, a true angel.
