Margaret "Peggy" T. Erdmann, 83, of Leominster, MA, passed away on October 21, 2023 at Care Dimensions in Lincoln, MA, after a brief illness.
Margaret was born on December 17, 1939 in Keene, NH, daughter of Harold K. Lein and Mary (O'Malley) Lein. She was a lifelong resident of Leominster, graduating from Leominster High School in 1958 and then working as a nurse at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, MA. She also owned Lein's Market in Leominster with her late husband, Robert C. Erdmann, after taking the business over from her parents. Thanks to her special recipes and cooking skills, Lein’s became a local favorite for potato salad and grinders, often served with a smile by Peggy herself.
Her family and friends were the cornerstone of her life, and she was also passionate about country music, crossword puzzles, reading, going to the beach, and spoiling her kitties, Brownie and Smokey. She and her husband Robert spent many happy years together in Ormond Beach, FL, where they owned a condo that they loved and shared with their entire family. Her kindness and fun-loving nature made her home a center of gravity for so many, especially her grandkids, who she loved spending time with and hosting.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Timothy Monaghan and his wife, Silvia Monaghan, of Ashburnham, MA, Robert Erdmann and his wife, Tammy Erdmann of Gardner, MA, and Scott Erdmann of Frisco, TX; two daughters, Pamela Hutchinson and her husband, Paul Hutchinson, of Leominster, and Heidi Hensley and her significant other, John, of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren, Ryan Monaghan, Brandon Monaghan, Jennefer Giannoni, Robert Erdmann Jr., Bradford Erdmann, Rhye Hutchinson, Shea Bangrazi, Michael Hutchinson, and Scott Erdmann; sister Gerry LaBerge; brother-in-law Leonard J. Petricca; sister-in-law Barbara Erdmann and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert C. Erdmann, sister Mary Ellen Petricca and brother-in-law Rolph Erdmann.
