Marian Ciriello Obituary

LEOMINSTER --- Marian “Dolly” Ciriello passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021 after a brief illness.

At a “young” age of 88, one can only imagine the spectrum of her life experiences. She loved to share stories of her life living in Brooklyn, NY, where she used to talk about having her dresses handmade, riding the subway at all hours of the night and staying out all night with friends. She has resided in New York, New Jersey, Arizona and Massachusetts. Arizona was her favorite place. She always talked about the weather and how nice it always was and compared it to every other place she had been.

Dolly embraced all aspects of life. She loved family first, all animals, traveling, the casino, playing poker, the Jersey Shore, music, movies and movie stars and boasted about the few she met. She wouldn’t hesitate to flash her smile at a handsome man, and then tell him exactly what she thought. She was up for a road trip at a moment’s notice, regardless of the destination. Her greatest joy was just being with family at gatherings or parties and took great pride in showing off her photos of her family to those who were not in attendance. Her love for life made her shine so bright that she had a tremendous impact on everyone she met.

There are a countless number of loved ones that will miss her dearly.  She is preceded in death by her parents Rocco and Giovannina Ciriello; sister, Ann (Jerry) Cogliano; brother, Frank (Charlene) Ciriello. She is survived by her niece, Terrie (Shawn) Parrish; nephews, Rocco (Donna) Ciriello, Charles (Tracy) Ciriello: and many great and great-great nieces and nephews and three generations of cousins.

Dolly was one of a very special group of friends, most whom had passed before her. Their bond and relationship was like no other. For that reason, they should also be
celebrated as such a significant part of her life.  She is preceded in death by cousin Rita Cordio; friends Patricia Richards and Elizabeth Hopkins. She is survived by Judy Buono, whom she resided with.

Services will be held on May 15, 2021 at 11am in St. Anna Parish, 194 Lancaster St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo`s Cemetery, Leominster.
