Marilyn Anderson Obituary

Marilyn W. Anderson passed away after a lengthy illness on September 4, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in Leominster, MA on August 17, 1947 to parents Wilmot and Ruth Weeks, who predeceased her. She lived in Leominster for most of her life. She is survived by her children Tracey Gauthier (Mark) of Ashburnham, MA, and son Todd Anderson of Lunenburg, MA. She was a loving grandmother, and leaves her grandchildren Matthew Gauthier, Tyler Gauthier, Samuel Anderson, and Benjamin Anderson. She is also survived by her brother Randy Weeks of Springfield, MO. She was predeceased by brother William Weeks in 2016.

Marilyn graduated from Leominster High School in 1965, and from The Chandler School for Women in Boston in 1967, where she studied to become a secretary. She worked at Digital Equipment Corporation, as well as other smaller companies throughout the years as an executive assistant. Creating and appreciating art was truly where her heart was at. She was an artist in every sense of the word. An accomplished pianist, she also enjoyed photography, crochet, and writing. She eventually started her own blog, as well as a business selling greeting cards and other creations to local gift shops and on Etsy. She was also an excellent cook, creating quite a few of her own recipes. She loved to host and feed family and friends.

Her family would like to thank the devoted staff of Sterling Village, where she resided for several years, and Beacon Hospice, who cared for her in her final days.

There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
