Leominster- Marilyn (Cataleta) Dolan, 80, of Leominster, died Friday, March 5, in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born September 23, 1940, in Leominster, daughter of the late Antonio and the late Irene (Belliveau) Cataleta. Marilyn graduated from Leominster High School in 1958. She was a member of Holy Family Parish where she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Her love of animals was apparent in her career choices; she operated Paws Awhile Dog Grooming shop in Fitchburg in the 1980’s and 90’s. She also volunteered at the Sterling Animal Shelter.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, John Dolan; two sons, Reverend Joseph Dolan and Thomas Dolan; siblings, Janet Monahan of Sudbury, Sr. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, O.P., West Springfield, MA and Dennis Cataleta of California; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Cataleta, Margaret DiRusso, Paul Cataleta and Robert Cataleta.
The funeral Mass is Thursday, March 11, at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery.
