TOWNSEND---- Marilyn I. (Moison) McInnis, 77 years old of Townsend, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 3,1938, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Alfonse and Irene (Thibedeau) Moison.She leaves her daughters, Jacqueline McInnis of Alaska, Alicia McInnis of Leominster, sons, Patrick McInnis and his wife Karen, and Michael McInnis and his wife Debbie both of Ashburnham, and Shawn McInnis of Leominster, 5 grandchildren, Mason Szocik of Lunenburg, Katlin McInnis, Meghan McInnis, Kelly McInnis and Jack McInnis all of Ashburnham and a great grandson Jacob Szocik of Lunenburg.
She also leaves her loving sisters and their families, Elaine and Gil Labonville of Scituate, June and George Morrill of Virginia, Linda Smith of Tyngsboro and Samantha Moison of Florida.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Arthur G. McInnis on December 17th, 2015. They were married for 55 years and after a short wait is holding his hand again.
Marilyn graduated from Townsend High School then went on to marry Arthur (Audie) and raise a beautiful family which she adored. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, socializing with friends and family, listening to doo wop & dancing. She was also employed as a secretary at Gro-Lex in Groton. Marilyn (Mom, Ma, Mal, Grammie) was a sweet soul that will be missed dearly by her family.
Marilyn’s funeral will be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016, from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a 10am funeral mass in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Townsend. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Tuesday March 15, 2016 from 5pm-7pm.
