Marina Ann (Powell) Cormier

Marina A. (Powell) Cormier, 78, of Leominster, MA passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Care Center after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.

Marina was born on May 23, 1947 in Epping, New Hampshire to Ervilla and Van Powell. She attended Fitchburg High School graduating in 1965. Marina worked at Sanitoy, Inc. for over 20 years. She owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics for 27 years, retiring in 2016.

She was a wonderful wife, mom, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cruises, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family; loved our family gatherings.

Marina is survived by her husband of 50 years, David, daughter, Lynne and her husband Vasco Garnett, sister, Bonnie Kaddy and her longtime partner Bernice Maguy, brother, Van Powell, three granddaughters, Victoria, Elizabeth and Madalyn Garnett, mother-in-law, Aldina Cormier, and sister-in-law Darlene and her husband David LaMontagne and nieces, Tara Probeck and Kristen Nichols. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Van and Ervilla, and father-in-law, Lester Cormier.

Family has requested a private service; immediate family only.
