Mark S. Gauthier

Ashburnham – Mark S. Gauthier, 69, passed away October 20, 2021 at Gardner Rehabilitation & Nursing Center after an ongoing illness.

Mark was born on October 12, 1952 in Leominster, Massachusetts to the late Leo Gauthier and the late Sylvia (Skinner) Meehan.

After graduating from Leominster High School in 1970, Mark worked in the foundation industry for DGD Foundations and Precision Foundations, which he co-owned with his life-long friend, David Constant. In addition, Mark worked for J.E. Boucher Construction for many years.

Mark’s favorite past times were watching his grandchildren play sports as well as spending time with family and friends. His passion was to country line dance and teach these skills at local venues.

Mark leaves his son Jason Gauthier and his wife Heather from Winchendon, his daughter Rebecca LaFreniere and her husband Joshua from Ashburnham, 3 grandsons; Tyler, Christopher and Justin, 4 granddaughters; Melaina, Raelyn, Alexis and Jamisen, one sister Marsha Germain of Fitchburg and one brother Joseph Gauthier of New Hampshire, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his brother Raymond (Bucky) Gauthier and step-father Leslie Meehan.

Calling hours for Mark will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, MA from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at from 12:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the Franco American War Veterans Hall, 300 Water Street, Leominster, MA. Burial will be private.
