Marlene Woods, 88, of Lunenburg and Cape Cod, passed away on April 8th. We believe she is in a beautiful place, with no pain, and good health.
Marlene leaves behind her sister, Marilyn Abbott and her husband Clyde of Westminster, two daughters, Julie Carey and her husband Norman of Ashburnham, Cindi Wagner Pittman and her partner Rick Valeri, of Ballston Spa NY.
Three grandchildren, Erin McKinney and her partner Fred Sarete of Fitchburg, Kelley Archambault and her husband Craig of Orlando, FL, and her grandson Robert Pittman of Fitchburg, as well as four great grandchildren.
Marlene and her husband Bill Woods began one of the first temporary placement services in Fitchburg, Work-A-Day, with family in tow, as well as All American Temps, for over 20 years.
Marlene will be remembered for her quick wit, her love for animals, and her love for family. She also loved a good day at the casino. She always wrapped the most beautiful Christmas packages, usually so beautiful you almost didn't want to open them. She made a lot of good friends, from Florida, to Mass, and "down the Cape". We will miss you Mom.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 6th from 11 AM -1 PM in Richardson Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
