Marylou Kurtz Obituary

Marylou Emma Kurtz, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on December 28, 1936 to Leo Tessier, Sr. and Dorothy (Hatstat) Tessier.

Marylou dedicated many years of service as the secretary to the superintendent of Leominster Schools. Her work was not just a job; it was a testament to her belief in the power of education and the importance of supporting the next generation.

Marylou's passion for life was mirrored in her love for Boston sports, a devotion that she shared with friends and family alike. Whether it was cheering on her favorite teams or knitting a cozy blanket for a loved one, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Marylou was also a dedicated supporter of Leominster sports, often found in the stands, rooting for the local teams with the same enthusiasm she brought to every aspect of her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Lisa Crawley of Winchendon, and son-in-law, A. Gregory Carchidi of Leominster, her brother, Peter Tessier, her adored grandchildren, Katelyn Crawley and husband Mike Vier, Gregory Carchidi and wife Erin, Jillian Crawley and partner Ryan Dean, Lauren Campanello and husband Daniel, Jonathan Carchidi, and John M. Crawley; her great-grandchildren, Chace Carchidi, Nora Carchidi, Logan Dean, Madison Campanello, Lucas Dean, and Cooper Campanello, who will grow up hearing stories of their great-grandmother's love, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Alton Crawley in 1988 and her second husband, Wallace Kurtz in 1994, beloved son, John L. Crawley, in 2024, and daughter, Cheryl A. Carchidi, in 2013.
