LEOMINSTER --Nancy M. (DiRusso) Bell, 63 years old of Leominster, died at home May 26, 2016, after an illness. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John C. Bell; son, Daniel J. Bell and his wife Sophia of Leominster; two daughters Stephanie L. Macri and her husband Darren of Acton and Courtney A. Bell and her companion Michael Scaglione of Leominster; seven grandchildren Ryan Macri, Sylvia Masi, Dante Masi, Dominic Macri, Thomas Macri, Genevieve Macri and Leia Scaglione; three sisters, Joan A. Sparks of Leominster, Carla M. Antocci and her husband Robert of Leominster and Amelia “Amy” A. Peralta of Leominster; brother-in-law Gregory E. Moniz of Leominster; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Susan A. Moniz and brother Christopher M. DiRusso.
Nancy was born on September 6, 1952 in Leominster, the daughter of Dante J. and Doris M. (Ceruto) DiRusso and lived here all her life. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1970 and received her degree in nursing from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Nancy was a registered nurse, most recently working at Summit Eldercare in Leominster. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster.
Nancy’s devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, depicted the epitome of love. Everyone could depend on the aroma of great cooking every time they entered her home. Sunday night was always, without exception, coffee and cake night with her whole family. Holidays and cookouts will never be the same without her although her presence will always be felt. She will never truly be gone from us- Nancy will be taking care of everyone, like always, from a higher place.
Nancy’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1st from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, with a Mass at 11 am in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31st from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
