Obituary
Leominster- Nancy L. (Lape) Montaquila, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023 at the age of 82.
She leaves her husband, Anthony of Leominster, as well as her son, Mark and wife Tracey of Leominster, daughter Lisa Lemay and husband Christopher of Leominster, son Daniel of Leominster, son David and wife Michelle of Fitchburg, sister Cynthia Collins of Vermont, brother Kenneth of New York and eight grandchildren.
Nancy was born in Troy, New York in 1941 to the late Kenneth Lape and Amy (Congdon). She graduated high school in 1958 and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Becker Junior College in 1960, as well as a second associates degree from Mount Wachusett Community College in 1990, and finally completing her bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State College in 1993. She worked for many years in the Alumni office at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as well as Denny’s Restaurant. Nancy was also a member of the Leominster Church of Christ; she was a noted Bible scholar for over four decades.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 9:30 A.M. at Church of Christ, 592 West St., Leominster, MA. Burial will be private.
