Nancy C. (Wade) O'Kane

Nancy C. (Wade) O’Kane, 75, passed away at the Life Care Center of Leominster on March 13, 2023. Born on November 8, 1947, Nancy was the daughter of the late Thelma (Johnson) Wade and Charles Wade. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Carol Hough and brother Charles “Lucky” Wade.

Nancy was a caring and giving soul and a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother “Grammy”, Godmother, Aunt, and friend. Nancy’s persistent smile and giving heart will be greatly missed. She was always willing to bake banana breads and share with friends and family. We will always remember her homemade sauce and meatballs, though her kids never asked for her meatloaf recipe. Nancy loved playing cards and scrabble. Nancy’s family is incredibly proud of her 42 years of sobriety and perseverance through many struggles in life. She maintained a positive attitude and unwavering faith in God. She was “one tough old broad.”

Nancy leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Fraticelli and husband Mike, her son Shawn Maxfield and wife Rebecca, and her son Kevin O’Kane. Besides her children, Nancy also leaves 17 grandchildren and great grandchildren, her goddaughter Sherrice, many nieces and nephews and her sisters Sharon Rivard and husband Vinnie and Janet Colburn.

Nancy’s family is planning a celebration of life and graveside services at a later date.
