Nora Lee (Woods) James

Nora Lee James departed this earth on November 10, 2023 after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. She was born to Samuel Woods and Mamie Franklin Woods on March 18, 1959 in Loris, SC. Nora leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, strength, and resilience. 

She is survived by her long time partner, Thomas Hayes, and her children, Robin James and his wife Oneka Pope-James, as well as her daughter LySandra Roy and her husband, Nick Roy. Nora is also survived by her four grandchildren, Que'Shawn James, Tierra James, Roman Roy, and Rhozwyn Roy, along with a host of nieces and nephews.  Nora was predeceased by her siblings, Sammie Woods, John Woods, Elijah Woods, Judy Eady, and Gloria McCallum. Together, they created a tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished.

Nora enjoyed crocheting, watching Lifetime movies, and Friday evening bingo at St. Cecilia Church where she formed lasting friendships within her community.

As we mourn Nora's passing, let us celebrate the vibrant life she lived and the love she shared. Visitation hours to pay last respects to Nora will be on November 15th, from 4pm to 6pm at Richardson Funeral Home.
