Norma (Ptak) Seretto, 96, of Lunenburg, MA, passed away peacefully on February 22nd, 2024, of natural causes, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved by all who knew her, she maintained her kindness, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and love of family and friends until the end of her life.
Norma was born on June 29th, 1927, to the late Joseph Sr. and Winifred Ptak in Fitchburg, MA. She grew up in a large, loving family surrounded by her five siblings and always knew she wanted to have a family of her own someday. She met and fell in love with the handsome and kind Charles Stepton Sr., and they were married on April 3rd, 1948. Together, they had six beautiful children. She later found love again and remarried on September 22nd, 1968, to Pasquale Seretto. They shared 45 years of marriage.
Her love for her family was evident in the countless ways she contributed to their lives. Whether it was babysitting her grandchildren, generously assisting her children, teaching them valuable life skills, or hosting memorable holiday gatherings, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. She was committed to family, evident as she became a matriarch, passing down traditions and values to younger generations. A woman of many talents, she loved to dance and sing, often delighting her captivated audiences (her family!) throughout her entire life.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Charles Stepton Sr.; her second husband, Pasquale Seretto; her son, Charles Stepton Jr.; her daughter, Mary Stepton; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sister Sandra (Ptak) Henault of Georgia, her daughters Linda (Stepton) Fox of North Carolina, Debra (Stepton) Hubbard of Massachusetts, and Susan (Stepton) Livi of Florida. Norma leaves behind an enormous legacy, including ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Norma will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A burial and celebration of life to follow later in the year.
