STERLING -- Normand J. DesRoche, 81 years old of Sterling, formerly of Dracut, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in his home, after an illness.
He is survived by his son, Scott DesRoche and his wife, Alison of Northboro; daughter, Debra Pothier and her husband, Rob of Leominster; 2 grandchildren, Zachary DesRoche and Ashley Pothier.
Normand was born August 5,1939 in Methuen, son of Joseph and Dora DesRoche and had lived in Dracut, MA before moving to Sterling 17 years ago. Normand attended the Marist Prep Seminary School and joined the Army immediately after, his tour of duty took him to South Korea. Normand holds a BSEE degree from University of Massachusetts, Lowell in Electrical Engineering. Normand worked for Macom in Lowell, MA for over 30+ years as a Project Engineer and Department Head. He retired at 58 years old. Normand enjoyed traveling, photography, riding his Harley, fixing things, and most importantly, spending lots of time with his family.
DESROCHE – Normand’s funeral will be held on Monday June 14th from the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a Mass at 1:30pm at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home home, will be held on Sunday, June 13th from 5-7pm.
