Patricia Anne (Marino) Benz

LEOMINSTER---Patricia A. (Marino) Benz, 59 years old of Leominster, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband Donald J. Benz, daughters Daniela Ciccolini of Memphis, TN and Stephanie Ciccolini of Boston, her father Gerald Marino, Jr. of Leominster, sisters Susan Perla of Leominster and Sandra Bigglestone of Montpelier, VT, and her brother Michael Marino of Florence, AL. She was predeceased by her mother Lucille A. (Tourigny) Marino on November 21, 2015.

Patty, a lifelong resident of Leominster was born January 29, 1956, graduating from Leominster High School in 1974. She attended Westbrook College in Maine and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Becker College in Leicester MA. Patty was a dental assistant for many years and worked recently as a sales representative for Verizon.

Patty’s warm and inviting smile, patience and gentle manner created many bonds throughout her life that she cherished. She loved to have family and friends gather in her home to share her delicious cooking and baked goods and she would make favorite dishes depending on who was there to visit that day. A strong sense of family was evident in her role as the oldest of four children as she coordinated many family gatherings and holiday parties. She was a hard worker and excelled in her career, demonstrating to her girls that anything is possible if you believe it to be and are willing to work at it. Patty enjoyed athletics as well as reading and cuddling with her cat Jax. She met her current husband and soul mate while skiing and enjoyed ski trips, kayaking, and golf with family and friends. Patty’s bright spirit will live on within the hearts of many she touched.

Patty’s funeral will be held on　Friday, December 11, 2015　from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 10 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, in Leominster in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 5-8 pm in  the funeral home.
