Patricia Schutt Obituary

Patricia Schutt passed away on December 27, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA; following a sudden illness. She was born on August 16, 1956, in Leominster, MA, to the late Francis Gravelle and Mary (Graham) Gravelle. Patricia was devoted to her family, her work, and her many passions.

She was a graduate of Leominster High School in 1974. For over two decades, she worked at the former Julie Country Day School in Leominster, MA, before transitioning to Summit Academy in Worcester, MA, for a further ten plus years. Patricia's love for the children was evident in her dedication to her work, and she retired in June 2021.

Patricia's home was a reflection of her loving and selfless spirit, filled with the warmth of handmade quilts she crafted for her family. She loved creating not just blankets but heirlooms that would wrap her loved ones in comfort and memories. Her love of singing and entertaining lead to her being a part of Showstoppers with New Players Theatre Guild.

A true fan of "The Wizard of Oz," Patricia's collection of memorabilia was a testament to her belief in the magic of home and the journeys that lead us back there. Her role as Grammy to her granddogs, Nathan and Teddy, was one she embraced with delight, spoiling them with the same affection she bestowed on all those she loved.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of over 48 years, Jeffrey Schutt; her daughter, Jessica Schutt; her son, Andrew Schutt, and his partner, Alexandre Pinheiro; her brother Richard Gravelle. Also her beloved cat, Cali. She was a nurturing presence in the lives of her nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will miss her dearly. Patricia was predeceased by her sisters, Sandra Carrescia and Gloria Town, and her brother, Francis Gravelle.

In her passing, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness. Those who knew her will remember a woman who gave freely of herself, who saw the best in others, and who created beauty wherever she went. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of her presence. Patricia Schutt's life was a quilt of many colors, each one a story of love, kindness, and the joy she found in simple pleasures. She will be profoundly missed by all that knew and loved her.
