WEST BOYLSTON --- Patricia M. (Sullivan) Stedman, 94 years old , died Friday, May 19, 2017, in Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston.
Patricia was born September 1, 1922, in Boston, the daughter of Matthew E. and Mary E. (Kennedy) Sullivan. She lived in Natick, Wellesley, Sandwich and Clearwater, FL. After the death of her devoted husband, John P., she moved back to New England to be near her daughters. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Barbara A. Foster and her husband John “Sandy” Foster of Lancaster, and Jane F. Stedman of Manchester, NH and her partner Sonia Hemmert and close family friend Richard Metafora, both of Springfield, and her granddaughter Anne Marie Schneider of New Bedford. She was predeceased by her husband John P. Stedman in 2001, and her granddaughter Jillian L. Schneider in 2015.
Patricia was an avid reader, theater-goer, and a life-long Democrat who was proud of her Irish heritage.
A funeral mass for both Patricia and John will be celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 11 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 809 Main St. Lancaster. Burial will follow in Eastwood Cemetery, in Lancaster.
