LEOMINSTER---Paul R. Anderson, 84 years old, of Leominster died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston. He is survived by his son David F. Anderson and his long term companion Terri Schneider of Westminster, daughter Kristie B. and her husband Bernard Aubuchon, Jr. of Westminster, grandchildren Brittany Aubuchon and Benjamin Aubuchon both of Westminster and his former wife Ann T. (Fahlman) Anderson of Westminster. Also, long time employee of Richard's Flower Shop and friend Ruth Moran. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Kvande.
Paul was born in Middletown, CT on August 31, 1931 and had lived in this area most of his life. He graduated from Fitchburg High School and from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Paul was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He had owned and operated Richard?s Flower Shop & Greenhouses in Leominster for 58 years, which will remain in operation. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg as well as a Life member of the Leominster/Fitchburg Lodge of Elks. Paul was also a member of several agricultural and greenhouse organizations. If you brought him a seed he would return it as a delicious vegetable or beautiful flower.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday prior to the service from 10-11 am in the funeral home.
