Paul P. Padovano, Jr., 88, of Leominster, died peacefully Friday, March 28, surrounded by family.
He was born November 9, 1936, in Leominster, son of the late Paul P. Sr. and Antoinette (Fratturelli) Padovano. Paul graduated from Leominster High School and was a standout left-handed pitcher/baseball player. He was scouted by the Red Sox but meeting and marrying his love, Nancy ultimately prevailed.
Paul earned his accounting degree from Holy Cross College and served as the Vice President of Wachusett Potato Chip Company throughout his career. His passions included the Friday night horse racing ritual with his friends and going to the casino and playing the slots with his family.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Nancy (Erickson) Padovano; two daughters, Marcia Senecal and husband Louis of Fitchburg, and Dr. Carolyn Padovano of Washington, DC; several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his brother, Saverio Padovano and his sister, Felicia Thomas.
Funeral services are private.
