Peter P. Grenache

LEOMINSTER --- Peter P. Grenache, 84 years old of Leominster, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family.  He leaves his 3 children, Stephen P. Grenache of Leominster, Christine M. Grenache of Wayland and Michelle M. Cunha and her husband Gilberto of Framingham, his grandson Nicholas (Nico) Cunha, his brother Gerard Grenache and his wife Sandra of Cape Cod, his sister Jacqueline Grenache of Palm Springs, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 34 years, Jane Marie (Mitchell) Grenache in 2016.

Peter was born March 3, 1939 in Leominster MA, the son of David J. and Florence Y. (Beland) Grenache. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1957, and Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1959, majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology.  Following his education, he served in the US Navy from 1961-1965 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and then worked for several decades at the former Digital Equipment Corporation. 

In his retirement, he continued to enjoy woodworking, hot rods, and his family (including his dog, Chloe) above all else.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 15th at 1pm in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster.  Burial with military honors will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 14th from 5-7pm in the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster.
