Phyllis Raffaele Obituary

LEOMINSTER- Phyllis R. (Castriotta) Raffaele, 87, of Leominster, died Sunday, February 21, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Leominster, after a short illness.

Phyllis was born in Leominster, on December 15, 1933, daughter of the late Luciano and Evelyn (Faubert) Castriotta and has lived in Leominster most of her life, spending Winters in Jupiter, Florida and Summers in Wells, Maine. She worked at the former Newberry’s Department Store, Dr. Smith’s Dental Office and Anderson Little Department Store.

She was a devout member of St. Anna’s Parish and belonged to their Bible study and prayer groups along with St. Leo’s Bible study and prayer groups. She enjoyed attending community theater, concerts, cultural programs and more.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Antocci, Linda Moyen and Dawn Boissoneau, all of Leominster; her sons, William Raffaele of Leominster and Louis Raffaele of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her grandchildren, David Antocci and wife, Lisa, Gina Antocci, Matthew Moyen and wife, Caillin, Brandon Moyen, Marissa Fraticelli and husband, Matthew, Joshua Raffaele, Andrew (Drew) Raffaele and family, Amy Quiet (Raffaele) and husband, Michael Quiet, Nolan Boissoneau, Preston Boissoneau and Evelyn Raffaele; great grandchildren, Jacob, Alexander, Gianna, Teagan, Madison, Dominic, Connor and Noah; siblings and spouses, Raymond Castriotta and wife, Gloria of Barre, James Boissoneau and wife, Sandra, Ann Marchetti and Lawrence Grubb and wife, Janice, all of Leominster; Godchildren, Marilyn Castriotta, Robin Koroskenyi and Michelle Marchetti; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William A. Raffaele, Jr., her sister, Lucille Brissette, her in-laws, William A. Raffaele, Sr. and his wife, Clarinda, sister-in-law, Barbara Provost, brothers-in-law, Edward Brissette, Benedetto Marchetti, grandson, Alessio Raffaele, her nephews, John Marchetti, Robert Ellis and Wayne Brissette.

The Funeral Mass and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anna’s Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA 01453 or to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave. Ste. 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
