Phyllis Ann (Tourigny) Tisdale

Phyllis Ann (Tourigny) Tisdale, of Leominster, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 13, 2022 of natural causes, at the age of 92. She is pre-deceased by her husband Ennis Leo Tisdale, Jr. and her parents, Edward and Irene Tourigny.

Phyllis was born on January 28, 1930 to Edward and Irene Tourigny in Leominster. After graduating from Leominster High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Ennis Leo Tisdale, Jr. of Leominster and went on to have 3 children, Maureen Ann (Tisdale) Baril of Leominster, Stephen Leo Tisdale of Meza, AZ, and Brian Edward Tisdale of Leominster.

She worked as a paralegal and legal stenographer for many local attorneys as well as a local mayor of Leominster. She had many friends (in the Leominster area) as well as in Florida, where she and her husband enjoyed many years at their second home in Palm Beach Gardens. She loved traveling, playing tennis, cards, going to plays and musicals, board games, and so much more!

She is survived by her 3 children, 8 grandchildren (Jason, Randy, Kristen, Matthew, Meagan, LeeAnn, Jonathan and Michael) and 10 great grandchildren, who she loved with all her heart (Lilia, Lucia, Francesca, Evan, Annie, Caleb, Hannah. Liam, Calley Jo and Jack), her godson Glenn Banning, her husband’s half-sister, Linda McDonald, and many other very important family members and friends. Phyllis was a wonderful, caring and generous person, and she will be truly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 5-7 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia’s Church, 168 Mechanic Street. Leominster on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Florence Street, Leominster immediately following the church services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605-2305.
