Ralph W. McAllister, affectionately known as Ralphie by his friends and family, passed away at the age of 70 on December 18, 2024, in Gardner, MA. Born on May 27, 1954, in Leominster, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Ralph McAllister and Eva M. (Pascarelli) McAllister and was predeceased by his dear sister, Rebecca A. Gaudet. Throughout his life, Ralph was a beacon of joy, known his humorous outlook on life, and his gentle demeanor.
Ralph's early education took place at the Kennedy School in Boston, where he began to shape his character and intellect. He continued his education at Our Lady of Mercy in Worcester, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and a sense of community that would stay with him through the years.
Following his schooling, Ralph became an active and dedicated member of ARC in Fitchburg, an organization known for empowering individuals with disabilities. His involvement with ARC was not just a reflection of his desire to contribute to the community but also an expression of his belief in the potential of every individual. Ralph's work and association with ARC were integral parts of his life, and he took great pride in the difference he made through his service.
Ralph's life was marked by the loving relationships he built with his family and friends. He is survived by his guardian, Dolly Charpentier, and his nephew, Michael J. Gaudet. They, along with his extended family and a network of friends, will remember Ralph for his unwavering kindness, his ability to make others smile, and the warmth he brought into their lives. Those who knew Ralph understood that a conversation with him could range from the deeply insightful to the delightfully humorous. He had a unique way of looking at the world that often brought a fresh perspective and a light-heartedness that could brighten even the darkest of days. Ralph's gentle spirit and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ralph's journey through life was a testament to his character. Despite the challenges he faced, he approached each day with optimism and a sense of humor that was contagious. He was a man who lived his life with purpose, always striving to be a source of happiness and support for those around him.

Ralph's life will be honored and remembered with a funeral mass, on Monday, December 23rd at 10 am at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.
