Reta A. (Boudreau) Mellitt

GARDNER --- Reta A. (Boudreau) Mellitt, 85 Years old, of Gardner, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 1, 2022, in Wachusett Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Gardner.

Reta was born May 6, 1937, in Fitchburg, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Lussier) Boudreau. She moved to Gardner many years ago, where she raised her 6 children. She leaves behind 2 sons, Michael Mellitt and David Mellitt both of Gardner, 3 daughters, Kathleen Cremin of Athol, Robyn Soucy and her long-time companion John Smith of Gardner, and Donna Bouchard and husband Dwayne of Gardner. She was the proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren – Amber Mellitt, Michael Fredette, Jessica Fredette, Richard Soucy, and Dylan Bouchard and his girlfriend Ashley Cordio of Portland Maine, and many great-grandchildren including, Ava, AnaLise & Joey, as well as several great-great grandchildren, and many nieces’ nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son William “Billy” Mellitt of Gardner, brother Ronald Boudreau, and 3 sisters, Dedira Leblanc, Eleanor Stratton and Lona Lanides.

Reta was a hard-working single mother who worked at Collier Keyworth and the Lafayette Lounge in Gardner, and in her senior years enjoyed being a member of the Silver Sneakers.

Private services will be held at a later date.
