Roberta Brooks passed away at the age of 64 on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 with her son and daughter by her side. Born on July 9, 1960 in Nashua, NH and living most of her life in her family home there, Roberta moved to Leominster, MA in 2023 with her daughter. She was the only child of Bertha (Beaudry) Charron (passed on in 2006) and Robert Charron (passed on in 1998). She graduated from Nashua High School in Nashua, NH in 1978 and contributed to her community through various jobs leading most recently to office secretarial work.
Roberta loved listening to music from the sixties and seventies, including The Beatles and Bay City Rollers, watching family television shows of Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons, and reading books by local author Stephen King. She enjoyed baking fresh chocolate chip cookies and chocolate fudge for the holidays and chocolate cake for her birthday, which were traditions she learned and carried forward from her mother. She had a wonderful marriage with her husband Rocky Brooks (passed on in 2022), as they helped each other live well and be the best they could be. They met while working together at Henry Hanger Company in Nashua, NH, married in May 1991, and enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Bermuda, one of a few cruises that Roberta enjoyed with family during her life. Roberta has always been gentle, quiet, and friendly, even as she continued on through many kinds of challenges in her last few years of life. Roberta is survived by her son, Ernie Brooks, of Palmer, MA, her daughter, Cailtin Brooks, of Leominster, MA, her cousin, Susan Murphy, of Lowell, MA, and further extended family.
A celebration of life for family and friends may be planned for a later time.
