Robin Peirce Obituary

Loving, kind, compassionate Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Friend. These are all words that personify this amazing woman. Robin J. Peirce, 59, peacefully passed away on March 24, 2016 after a courageous and fierce battle with cancer. Robin was born July 1, 1956 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Peirce and Jane (Buker) Miner. She was predeceased by her sister, Saundra (Peirce) Swanson of North Carolina. Robin graduated from Simmons School of Social Work with an MSW in 1995. She has worked for the Ashburnham Westminster School District as an Adjustment Counselor for the past 18 years. She will be most remembered for her passionate love of family and friends. The countless lives that she has touched as a parent, friend, colleague and therapist will be her legacy as we move forward with her in our hearts. Robin once wrote that she was, “So grateful to have known and experienced such love for so many. So grateful to have had my love received. So grateful to be known and loved just as I am. No greater gift.”

Robin took pleasure in gardening, shopping, listening to music and dancing. In her earlier years, she danced professionally and co-directed a modern dance company. But mostly, she loved to break out in dance and share happiness with those around her. Recently Robin choreographed a Flash Mob at the request of friends. The laughter and joy this endeavor brought will remain with those involved for years to come.

Robin was loved and supported through life by her wife and partner of 25 years, Donna, her sons; Michael P. Brown and Zachary P. Wales, and his wife Meaghan (Woodard) Wales; her sister Vickie (Peirce) Evans of Ohio and her husband Stan. The absolute loves of her life were her three granddaughters, Zoe Mae Wales, Charlotte Grace Brown and Naya Peirce Wales. All you had to do is mention her grandchildren and she could light up the room with pure joy. Her laughter was infectious and her smile could lift your spirits from the lowest spot. Robin believed in making very second count. Her wish for those left behind is to “Make it Matter”, each and every moment.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 15, 2016 at Wachusett Mountain from 12-5.
