Robin K. (Macklin) Sebastian

Robin Kathryn (Macklin) Sebastian, of Ohio, formerly of Fitchburg, finally reunited with her lord Jesus on Friday, January 8, 2021, after a brief illness.   

Robin was born May 10, 1951, in Lowell, daughter of the late Frank and the late June Macklin of Tyngsboro, MA.

She had a light around her that affected every life she touched. She was thoughtful and altruistic.  The most important things to her were her dedication to God and her family.  Robin always made the best of what little she had.

Robin’s caring and generous nature led her to a career in human services where she helped so many people over the years.  She was always there to listen.  She would even invite them to dinners or to stay in her home.

In her later years, Robin relocated to Ohio where she had the opportunity to live on an equine estate surrounded by many animals with her youngest daughter. She lived out her years in Ohio spending many days studying her religion until moving into assisted living when her health started to fail. She contracted COVID 19 and it took her rather quickly. She was cared for greatly by all of her children and will be missed.  

She leaves two daughters, Carly Sebastian and her fiancé, Paul Hansen of Fitchburg and Jodi Sebastian of Ohio; one son, David Sebastian and his wife, Debbi-Ann of Shirley; five grandchildren, Alexandrya Cairns, Dax Cote, Sean, Macklin and Molly Sebastian; as well as her “adopted” son, Jeff Kimmel.  Also, her siblings, David Macklin of Townsend, Lisa Macklin of Temecula, CA, her twin sister, Wendy Destroismaison of Tyngsboro, and Ralph Macklin & wife, Ellie of Tyngsboro; as well as many nieces & nephews.  She was predeceased by her two brothers Frank and Bruce Macklin.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
