Lunenburg – Roger Leo Raboin, 93, of Lunenburg, MA, died peacefully on July 22, 2025, after a brief stay at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
Roger was born in Fitchburg, on June 2, 1932, the third of six children of the late Edmund and Yvonne (L’Homme) Raboin. Roger loved sharing stories of his childhood on Old Leominster Road, surrounded by family and friends, delivering newspapers and picking up odd jobs. Roger was a graduate of St. Francis of Assisi primary school, St. Bernard’s High School, and Holy Cross College. Roger served in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army and upon discharge worked in finance at General Electric. Roger was later co-owner and General Manager of deLongchamp Pontiac Buick in Fitchburg for more than 40 years.
Roger lived a long and beautiful life, enjoying 66 wonderful years of marriage with his late wife Barbara (Amadio) Raboin. Early in their marriage, during his Army enlistment, they lived in Germany where they established lifelong friendships and a love of travel. Together they raised six children: Stephen Raboin and his wife Lou Ann of Lunenburg, Michelle Riley and her husband Dean of Leominster, Eric Raboin and his wife Marli of Everett, Karen O'Brien and her husband John of Charlton, Paul Raboin of Westford, and Julie Willis and her husband Michael of Berlin.
He leaves a sister, Pauline Gagne and her husband Roger of Leominster, a brother, Raymond Raboin and his wife Jane of Rochdale, a brother-in-law Francis Amadio of Bristol, CT, and a sister-in-law Jeanne Antonucci and her husband Robert of West Falmouth. He leaves 21 grandchildren: Joseph Raboin of Haverhill, Sarah Andrews of Portsmouth, NH, Elisabeth Horesh of Bolton, Jessica Grassis of Lancaster, Leah Pimental of Bolton, Emma Raboin of Newton, Alizah Raboin of Somerville, Thomas O'Brien of Weston, Kristen Rhodes of Northampton, Kathryn O’Brien of York, ME, Sean O'Brien of Manchester, CT, Arianna Parker of Charlton, Anna Raboin of Waltham, Matthew Raboin of Seattle, WA, Zachary Raboin of Dover, NH, Robert Raboin of Westford, Adam Willis of Brookline, Rebecca Willis of Worcester, and Olivia Willis of Charlton. Roger will also be remembered by 19 great-grandchildren. Roger was predeceased by his siblings J. Alfred Raboin, Lorraine Gagne, Roland Raboin, and Robert Raboin.
Roger’s family would like to thank his neighbors on Tilton Avenue, The French Connection, and the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice Home who offered friendship, support and kindness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Parish at St. Camillus de Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic St, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
