Ronald L. Myllykangas, 87, of Leominster, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 5, in his home with family.
Ronald was born February 23, 1939, in Fitchburg, son of the late Lauri E. and Mildred A. (Farquhar) Myllykangas. He served in the United State Army and the National Guard. Ronald worked for the Leominster Department of Public Works for 42 years before his retirement.
A true family man, Ronald never shied away from showing his family how much he loved them and that they were the best thing that ever happened to him.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Virginia (Burnap) Myllykangas; four children, Laurie Williams and husband, James and their children, Ryan Konop and Sara Bladdick and husband, Joe; Jill McKelvey and husband, Patrick and their children, Alex Brekker and wife, Hannah and Alison McKelvey; Dale Sanborn, wife of the late Rick Sanborn and their daughter, Carly Sanborn; Steven Myllykangas and wife, Pamela and their children, Myles, Kayla and Mason Myllykangas; four great grandchildren, Lane and Millie Bladdick, Camden and Cole Konop; brother in law, Richard Burnap; nieces, Sandi Swinerton and Liana Palermo; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ronald may be made to the charity of one’s choosing.
