Rosemarie Mosso Obituary

Rosemarie “Rose” (Pirro)  Mosso, 85, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in the city where she was born, surrounded by the love and legacy of her family and after a life marked by faith, devotion, and strength. She was born on May 27, 1941, in Leominster, MA, the daughter of Nicolas A. Pirro Sr. and Theresa H. (Berry) Pirro. Rose lived in Simi Valley California from 1980 to 1999 before returning to her home town.

On June 22, 1958, Rose married William B. Mosso, beginning a marriage that would span nearly seven decades. Together, they built a family rooted in love.

Rose is survived by her husband, William B. Mosso; her sons, William L. Mosso, Robert J. Mosso, David B. Mosso, and Michael A. Mosso; her brother, Nicholas A. Pirro Jr; her sisters, Josephine Coleman, Donna Cote and Joan Pirro; her grandchildren, Matthew Mosso. Ashley L. (Mosso) Teerlink, Christopher Mosso, and Kyle J. Mosso; and her great-grandsons, Easton K. Teerlink, Cache R. Teerlink, Vance M. Teerlink, and August W. Mosso. She also leaves behind a family who will continue to carry forward her memory, and the many stories that made her such a remarkable presence in their lives.

Rose attended Leominster High School and carried the lessons of her youth with her throughout her life. She was a Christian whose faith remained an important part of who she was. Those who knew her best will remember her as spirited, passionate, and interesting, a woman with a strong presence and a warm heart. She had a way of making ordinary moments feel memorable, and her personality left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.

Rose’s life was enriched by the joy of being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished each generation that followed her, and her family grew to include not only children and grandchildren, but great-grandchildren that brought her immense pride.

She passed away of natural causes, now reunited with her parents, Nicolas A. Pirro and Theresa H. (Berry) Pirro, and her sister Carol Collette. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rosemarie Mosso’s life was one of deep devotion and lasting significance, and she will be remembered always with love, respect, and gratitude.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 11:00 AM in Saint Leo’s Cemetery, 360 Lancaster Street in Leominster.
