Sarah Craig, 48, the beloved daughter of Jim and Cindy Craig passed away suddenly in her home on December 7, 2025, in Leominster, MA. Born on May 7, 1977, in Worcester, MA, Sarah spent most of her life in Massachusetts, graduating in 1998 from Leominster High School.
Sarah lived a life of remarkable courage and determination. She was born with both medical and mental health challenges, but she refused to let them stop her from achieving her goals. Two such goals were to graduate from high school with a diploma opposed to a certificate and to live independently. She proudly achieved both goals.
Sarah was actively involved in The Beacon of Hope for many years and made so many wonderful friends while there. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal church in Leominster where she was a member of the parish intercessory prayer team from its conception. She had a remarkable faith that touch many live and will continue to do so forever.
Sarah especially adored animals and lovingly cared for dogs and cats throughout her life. Her cat Crystal has been her faithful companion the past several years. Prior to Crystal the love of her life was her dog Buddy, who we are sure was the first in line to welcome her home. She also loved watching movies on her VCR and owned hundreds of video tapes. She also loved watching reruns of old sitcoms.
Sarah was supported by so many dedicated professionals from a team of doctors, visiting nurses, caseworkers from the ARC, and mostly her brother Eric who was always there whenever Sarah needed him, which at times could be several times a week.
Sarah is lovingly remembered by her parents Jim and Cindy Craig, her brother Eric Craig and his partner Michelle Olivari, her sisters Moriah Aponte and her fiancé Brandon Davis, Jenna Aponte, nieces and nephews, Joseph Craig, Maria Craig, Jayden and Mason Landry, Ananis, Ava, and Mia Davis and Sophia Landry. Her aunts and uncles, Pam Alvarez, Bob and Barbara Craig, Cathy and Tom Cardella, Allen Keough, Valarie Keough, Karen and Chris Keough-Huff, Pam and Ray Doucette, Chris and Wayne Gerhardt and many cousins as well as her cat Crystal.
A funeral service to celebrate the life and witness of Sarah will be held on December 30, 2025 at 10:00 am at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 60 West Street, Leominster, MA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Sarah’s name can be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church or the Beacon of Hope.
