Scott Peters, 65, of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in the same town where he was born on October 8, 1959.
Scott was the kind of person everyone hopes to have in their life—generous, selfless, and full of heart. Though he called Leominster home his entire life, his impact reached far beyond. He touched countless lives through his quiet kindness, sarcastic jokes, and unwavering dependability.
He was the beloved son of the late Richard and Kathleen (Nass) Peters, and carried their values of loyalty, humor, and compassion throughout his life.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Boudreau) Peters, with whom he built a life full of laughter, love, and family. Together they raised two amazing children—Daniel Peters and Ashley (Peters) Seuss—who were his pride and joy. He also welcomed their spouses, Jessica Peters and William Seuss, into the family with warmth and open arms.
He was “Papa” to three grandchildren—Emerson, Leger, and Harper—who lit up his world. Whether it was beach days, family dinners, or cheering them on, every moment together brought him joy.
Scott was also a brother to Donna (Peters) Prouty, a loving and involved uncle, brother-in-law, and a friend you could always count on. He had a big heart, a calm presence, and a way of making people feel seen and supported.
A lifelong Boston sports fan, Scott rarely missed a game and was known to celebrate wins with the same intensity he brought to coaching youth teams. He was especially passionate about his years at Justin DeSantis Baseball Field, where he helped shape not just players, but people.
Beyond sports, Scott was a connoisseur of New England restaurants—always searching for the next great meal to share. He loved to travel, unwind at the beach, and simply be around the people he loved most. He didn’t need much—just good food, a game on, and his family nearby.
As his family shared so simply and beautifully, “Papa lived for life.”
Scott will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved by all who had the privilege to know him.
A memorial service will be held at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster, MA, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Justin DeSantis Baseball Field (details below), a place close to Scott’s heart where he spent many years giving back to the community. Leominster Little League Attn: Fundraising Committee (Justin DeSantis Field) PO Box 1487, Leominster, MA 01453
