Shelley Snow Obituary

Leominster and Malden–We are extremely sad to announce that our beloved Shelley Lee Snow went home to be with the Lord December 29, 2022. Shelley passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family after a brief illness with pneumonia. Shelley was born November 8, 1961 in Malden and is the daughter of the late Phyllis A. Snow and the late Lawrence Snow of Malden, MA. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Alessandro Barbati of Tewksbury, MA, and her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Toniann Snow of Medford, MA. Shelley was a very proud aunt to Alicia and Thomas Barbati and Sophia Snow. Shelley is also survived by extended family members, church members, and friends who will cherish her memory and whom she dearly loved. There were many chapters in Shelley’s life that included wonderful programs designed to enhance the lives of disabled adults. Throughout the years she met and made countless friends and was the recipient of outstanding care. In her younger years, Shelley was an active member of Maplewood Baptist Church, Malden, and most recently was delighted to become a member and greeter at the Christian Life Center in Leominster. Her many favorite activities included crafting, drawing, singing, and most especially dancing. Always willing to lend a listening ear, be delighted to celebrate a birthday, or simple giggle at a funny story with you, Shelley will be remembered as a sweet, kind, and gentle soul. She had a zest for life and fierce quest for independence that would remind us all of her amazing capabilities and strengths

Funeral arrangements for immediate family are entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster followed by a private burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shelley’s name may be made to one of Shelley’s favorite events, the Special Olympics.
