Soulikantho Phongsamouth

LEOMINSTER --- Soulikhanthone (Souli) Phongsamouth, 82, of Leominster passed away on Friday November 23, 2018. Souli was born December 17, 1935 in Savannakhet, Laos. Souli was highly respected doctor at his home country of Laos. He migrated to the United States March 1981.

He lived with his daughter Vilayvanh and family in Pennsylvania (1981 -1985) then settled in Fitchburg (1985-1992), Leominster (1992-2018). He is survived by his wife, Khamkay Vorlabouth Phongsamouth; daughters, Vilayvanh Moe Phongsamouth of FT. Worth, TX, Khanthavisay Eckholm of Groton, CT, Keodoungchai Phongsamouth of FT Worth, TX and Phourathsamay (Loi) of Leominster; and son, Sayanh Fongsamouth of Leominster, MA. He will be greatly missed by his 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. He was predeceased in death by his son, Phourathsamy Mee (Darren) Phongsamouth in 2017.

Souli will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, loyalty and honesty. His warm and engaging personality and his infectious smile will be sorely missed.

Viewing will be from 3-5 PM on Friday November 30, 2018 with a Traditional Buddhist Ceremony to begin at 10 AM on Saturday December 1, 2018 all at Silas F. Richardson & Son, Funeral Home 106 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Rural Cemetery & Crematory,180 Grove St. Worcester MA. with cremation at 1:00 PM.
