Steven Davi Obituary

LEOMINSTER ---Steven M. Davi, 58, passed away on March 10, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family after a three-year battle with cancer.

Steven was born June 28, 1963, in Rotterdam, NY, to Salvatore Davi and Joan (Della Rocco) Davi, Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Sharon (Valliere) Davi; daughter Jessica Davi and fiancé Sam Herrmann; son Kyle Davi and partner Catie Tyrakowski; siblings Elizabeth Davi and Carol (Davi) Connelly and husband Tim Connelly; many nieces and nephews; and other close-knit family members, friends, and colleagues.

Though he would never admit it, Steve made a difference in every community he was a part of. Whether it was installing the first internet connection at St. Anna School, establishing scholarships at his alma mater, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, or helping a preservation and sustainment project center at Acadia National Park, Steve always looked to lead by example and inspire kindness in others.

Steve’s love for Acadia coincided with his passions for photography, camping, and hiking. He possessed an immeasurable strength and zest for life that is reflected in one of his favorite hiking phrases, “Less attitude more altitude.”

That strength got him to 45 National Parks on his life’s mission to go to every single one. While that wish may not have come to fruition, his family is determined to continue pursuing his goal thanks to the passion for nature and the outdoors that Steve instilled in them.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11am in St. Anna Parish, 194 Lancaster St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cultivate Care Farms of Bolton, MA, a farmed-based therapy nonprofit where Steve was a Board Member.
