Suzanne M. (Caisse) DiGiovanni

LEOMINSTER----Suzanne M. (Caisse) DiGiovanni, 81 years old, of Leominster, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Sterling Village. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Louis F. DiGiovanni, son David A. DiGiovanni and his wife Heidi of Franklin; daughter Donna L. DiGiovanni and her partner Brenda Erickson of Leominster; 2 grandsons Joseph L. DiGiovanni and his wife Shannon A., and their two sons Louis and Jackson of Westminster and Paul C. DiGiovanni and his fiancée Katie of Nashville, TN; 3 step-granddaughters Leila, Nina and Alba; 2 step-grandsons Patrick and Daniel; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Barry L. Caisse in 2000, sister Carol-Ann R. Eveland in 2003 and daughter-in-law Jill M. DiGiovanni in 2003.

Suzanne was born June 6, 1937 in Fitchburg, daughter of Alfred L. and Sylvia (Smith) Caisse and had lived in Leominster most of her life. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1954 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Fitchburg State College. Suzanne was an elementary school teacher in the City of Leominster for many years. Suzanne was a avid horse lover and was a co-owner of the former Al-Bar Morgan Horse Farm in Sterling. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, St. Anna Parish, Retired Teachers Association, a former member of the Massachusetts and Leominster Teacher’s Associations.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 12:30 pm in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Wednesday morning from 10 am to 12 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster.
