Theresa A. (Beauvais) Schrock Delke

Theresa Angeline “Tess” (Beauvais) Schrock Delke, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 94, at Maris Pointe, a senior living community in Venice, Florida. She was born on December 14, 1928, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to the late Wilfred and Emma (Goyette) Beauvais. Tess was a loving and caring individual who always sought to improve the lives of those around her.

Tess is survived by her son, Stephen Schrock, and her stepchildren, Thomas Delke, Patricia House and Theresa Atkinson as well as a large extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Schrock, her husbands, John Schrock and Irving Delke, her brother, Leo Beauvais, and her sisters, Florence Pineault Brown, Irene Roy, Lucille Vincent, Annette Richard and Blanche Deschenes.

Tess received her primary education at St. Joseph School and her high school education at St. Bernard High School, both in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Fitchburg State Teachers College and a Master of Arts in Education from Sacramento State University.

Throughout her career, Tess worked as a caring and dedicated teacher in various locations, including Amherst, Massachusetts, and Long Beach, Napa, and Sacramento, California. She made a significant impact as a teacher at Collis P. Huntington Elementary School in Sacramento from the mid-1960s through the late 1980s. Tess was an accomplished musician who served as an Organist and the Choir Director at St. Elizabeth Church in Sacramento, California, and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Venice, Florida. She was also employed as an organist at First Church Christ Scientist in Englewood, Florida.

Tess found solace and community at St. Raphael Church in Englewood, Florida, where she worshipped. She valued her faith and found comfort in her religious community.

In her free time, Tess enjoyed volunteering, notably at Loveland Center in Venice, Florida, and Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Florida. She had a passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives.

A funeral Mass will be held during the summer of 2024 at St. Joseph Church in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Additionally, a Mass will be said in her memory at St. Raphael Church in Englewood, Florida, at a date and time to be determined.

Tess will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever be cherished.
