Thomas Moore Obituary

Leominster----Thomas R. Moore, 79, passed away on October 8, 2023. Thomas was born on September 8, 1944, to the late Robert H. Moore Sr., and Evelyn E. (Anderson) Moore.

Thomas graduated from Westford Academy and then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Lowell State College. He was a satellite technician for over thirty years at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Thomas enjoyed amateur (HAM) radio, fishing, science fiction, and making abundant dad jokes, especially to lighten the mood and get a laugh. He was generous with his time, helping family, friends, and the community when he could. He also volunteered with the Townsend Emergency Management Agency (formerly known as TEAM) to coordinate events and support first responders in their duties.

Thomas was the loving father of five children: daughters Jennifer (Moore) Magliozzi, her husband Ronald Magliozzi, Jr. of Leominster and Rebecca Moore, her partner Aaron Longfield of Sterling, sons Timothy Moore, his wife Julie (LeClair) Moore of Fitchburg and Nicholas Moore and Peter Moore of Leominster. He was the proud grandfather of Rachel and Jacob Magliozzi. He was the brother of sisters Vanessa (Moore) Rene of Lowell and Susan (Moore) St. Arnaud of Maine. Thomas also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert H. Moore Jr. and sister Elizabeth Moore. He will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
