Viola J. (Chiarelli) Cosimi

LEOMINSTER ---- Viola J. (Chiarelli) Cosimi, 94 years old of Leominster passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Lifecare Center of Leominster.

Viola was born February 7, 1929 in Clinton MA. the daughter of Luigi and Ciara (Leoni) Chiarelli. She leaves her son Bary Cosimi and his wife Sheilah of Leominster, her daughter, Karen Bruwer of Leominster, 3 grandchildren, Peter Bruwer and his wife Kristi, Patricia Rumson and Brian Cosimi, 3 great grandchildren, Angela Rumson, Michael Rumson and Kailynn Bruwer, her sister Nina Valera of Boylston, sister-in-law Gloria Cosimi of Provincetown, and many nephews nieces and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Celestino Cosimi in 1975 by her son John Cosimi in 2022, 3 brothers, Patsy Chiarelli, Medio Chiarelli, and John Chiarelli and by 6 sisters, Mary Ragucci, Rose Renzi, Anita Mazzaferro, Quintina Angelini, Elizabeth Marchetti and Alice Refrigeri.

Viola graduated from Clinton Trade School, and owned and operated her own beauty salon in Clinton for many years. In 1961 she opened her own beauty shop out of her home in Leominster- Vi`s Beauty Shop retiring when she was 72 years old. She was a longtime member of St. Anna Church in Leominster, she loved all sweets, loved to dress up to go line dancing, having a good time, and going on boat rides at the camp.

A funeral service for Viola will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 11am in the Richardson Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St Leo Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will precede the funeral service from 10am till 11am. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
