Walter G. Bertrand, Jr.

LEOMINSTER---Walter G. Bertrand, Jr., 67 years old of Leominster, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital. He is survived by his partner in life Deborah M. Renzi of Leominster, daughters Stephanie L. Booker of Worcester and Elena M. Bertrand and her husband Anthony Mathis of Virginia, son Michael J. Bertrand and his wife Heidi of Ashburnham, brothers Robert Bertrand of Westborough, Richard Bertrand of Montana and Ronald Bertrand of Northborough, sister Darlene Gallant of Northbridge, 9 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Walter was born April 27, 1949 in Framingham, son of Walter G. and Arlene (Arbour) Bertrand, Sr. and had lived in Leominster for the past 23 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War Veteran and was the Telecommunication Manager at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for several years. Walter was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30^th at 11 am in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Warrior Weekend, P.O. Box 63, Harbeson, DE 19951.
