LEOMINSTER ---- Walter K. Grant, 75 years old of Leominster, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital.
Walter was born May 15, 1941 in Alburg, VT, the son of Edward M. and Ethel F. (Peryea) Grant. He leaves 4 sons, David T. Fenner of Winchendon, Raymond F. Fenner and Timothy J. Grant both of Fitchburg, Kenneth E. Grant of Westminster, 2 daughters, Diane J. Paquin and her husband Gerald of Winchendon, Michelle L. Quintong and her husband George of Leominster, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and many nephews and nieces.
Walter was predeceased by his first wife Evelyn (Weston ) Grant of 30 years in 1998, by his second wife Betty A. (Towles) Grant of 8 years in 2012 and by 5 brothers.
Walter was a U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War Veteran serving from 1960 - 1964. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg, and was employed for many years at James River in Fitchburg. He enjoyed flea marketing.
A funeral service for Walter will be held on Saturday, January 28th, at 10 am in Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1200 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg. All guests are asked to go directly to church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster will Friday, January 27th from 6 pm - 8pm.
