LEOMINSTER---William “Bill” Gaudet, 69 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at UMass Medical Center- University Campus in Worcester, with his loved ones at his side.
Bill was born January 27, 1947 in Leominster, son of William R. Gaudet and Bernice R. (Cormier) Gaudet, both of whom are now deceased. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Rebecca “Becky” (McAllister) Gaudet, his son Michael Gaudet and his wife, Laura Thomann of Leominster, his brother-in-law Ralph McAllister of Gardner, one sister, Carolyn Whitney and her husband Allan and cousins and friends. He also leaves his two dogs, Sam and Ginger, whom he loved dearly.
Bill attended Leominster High School, Andover Institute of Business, Mt. Wachusett Community College and many courses and trainings in the field of computers. He worked in the field of computers at Data General, EMC and Beth Israel from where he retired. Bill loved rebuilding and refurbishing old British sports cars and hot rods. He also loved working on model trains and doing home improvements on his house, which he built for himself and his wife of 46 years, Becky. Anyone that knew him will miss his kindness, his smile and his unique sense of humor.
Bill’s funeral will be held on Thursday, May 19th from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning prior to the mass from 9-10:30 am in the funeral home.
