Winifred "Winnie" (Dawson) Martin

Winifred “Winnie” (Dawson) Martin, 78, passed away June 7, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was born April 26, 1943, in Fredericton, NB, Canada, and was a Leominster Resident for 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Alexina (Babineau) Dawson.

Winnie retired from Deluxe/NEBS, she loved her job and all the people she worked with.

If you knew Winnie, you loved her. If you met her once or many times it didn’t matter, she touched your life. She was a true kind soul. She overflowed with grace, love and pure kindness for everyone.  Her life was all about family and friends.  She prided herself around her love for her family and how much fun we always had together. We are truly blessed to have had the best Mother, Best Friend, Aunt, Memere, Mimi, Wife, and Sister in the world. 

She leaves her Husband, Yvon Martin of 57 years.  She is survived by her three children, son Melvin Dawson and his wife, Nancy; her two daughters, Lisa Cooper and her Husband, Bill and Brenda Jenson and her husband, Rob; four of the best grandchildren, Domenic (DJ), Samantha, Cody and Jaime; her great granddaughter and best friend, Emma; her sister, Linda Mangunsong and her husband, Ray; three brothers, Joe Dawson and his wife, Simone, Ronnie Dawson and his wife, Debbie and Kenneth Dawson and his partner, Kate; she had many step grandchildren and great grandchildren through marriage; one very special uncle, Bernard Babineau; a very special sister-in-law, Yvonne Richard; nieces, Debbie Andres and family, Kimberly Dawson, Shelley Richard, Tammy Dawson, Michael Dawson, Richard Dawson and all their Families; and many cousins

We love her with all our hearts and until we meet again…Big Hugs!

Calling hours are Friday, June 11 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. The funeral will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
