LEOMINSTER ---- Yola M. (Navaroli) Alexander, 95 years old passed away on Friday September 30 and entered into eternal peace, in Valley Stream Nursing Home in Fitchburg.
Yola was born January 29,1921 in West Boylston MA, a daughter of Frank Navaroli and Erminia (Berardinelli) Navaroli. While she spent the majority of her life living in Leominster MA she retired to Atlantic Beach FL for many years before returning to the Leominster area. She enjoyed cooking, reading, bingo, cross-words, crafting bracelets and staying active throughout her exceptional life. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Albert "Blackie" Alexander in 1983 and her brothers, Hugo, Bruno, Baldi, Danny and Andrew. She leaves her two sons, Wayne Alexander and his wife Marion of Athol, and Frank Alexander and his wife Doris of Port Orange Florida, four granddaughters, Tammy Alexander of Moncton N. B Canada, Heather Alexander of Port Orange Florida, Heidi Alexander-Allain of Gardner MA and Krista Shattes of Miller Place NY, a grandson Anthony Alexander of Uxbridge MA; eight great-grandchildren, Shelby Allain, Emmy and Wyatt Shattes, Jonathan, Destiny and Dylan Alexander, Candice and Kayla Leger; two cousins, Rena Desilvestri and Lucille Plummer both of Wheeling West Virginia, and many adorning nephews, nieces and cousins. She was loved dearly and leaves loving memories to be cherished by all who knew her. She will be missed, especially her sweet laugh and sense of humor along with the best hugs and kisses.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 9 am in Evergreen Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
