LEOMINSTER----Ralph Castriotta, 92, of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2018. Ralph was born in Leominster on October 8, 1925 to Matteo and Letizia (Brigida) Castriotta.

Ralph attended Leominster High School and was a talented basketball player, earning him the nickname “Hooper” in his youth.

Ralph’s career in the plastics industry spanned decades, as cofounder and president of Plastican Inc. in Leominster.

Ralph’s devotion to his family was unparalleled as a husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He took great pleasure in seeing his family and friends come together over his home cooked, Italian meals. He also enjoyed watching Red Sox games and playing golf.

Ralph is survived by his dear wife of 70 years, Norma (Hager) Castriotta, and their three children – Ralph Castriotta, Jr. and wife Holly of Greenville, SC, Beth Donlan and husband Dennis of Leominster, and Lyn Kapilian and husband Scott of Bedford, as well as three grandchildren – Marybeth and Meghan Donlan and John Kapilian. He was predeceased by brothers Luciano and Anthony Castriotta and sisters Italia Castriotta, Nicolette Lunetta, Antonetta DiPierro, and Dolores Arnone.
