LEOMINSTER----Kathleen M. (Baxter) MacPhee, 96 years old of Leominster, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Brenda K. Maffeo and her husband, Samuel A. Maffeo of Leominster and Carolyn F. Moss and her husband Roy G. Moss of Sidney, Maine; her grandson, Benjamin S. Maffeo and his wife Joyce Maffeo of Leominster and her great-grandson Nicholas S. Maffeo of Leominster. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Edison H. MacPhee in 2009 and by her brother Fred Baxter and sister Frances Baxter.

Kathleen was born March 17, 1920 in Montreal, Canada, daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Spencer) Baxter and had lived in the Leominster area for the past 70 years. She had been a clerk at Park Snowe’s Department Store in Fitchburg, a teller at First Safety Fund National Bank and then worked in customer service at Worcester North Saving Institution. Kathleen was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ in Leominster, where she was a former Deacon and a member of the Crystallite Club.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at 10 am in the Congregational Church of Christ, 583 Main St., Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 9-10 am in the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational Church of Christ, 583 Main Street, Leominster, MA 01453 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
